As sustainability becomes an increasingly important measure of competitiveness, the question is no longer how fast a company can grow, but how it can create lasting value for decades to come. For Imexpharm, this has been a journey pursued consistently for nearly half a century.
When long-term value becomes the new measure of success
Sustainable development is no longer confined to any single industry. From manufacturing and finance to technology, businesses are increasingly expected to balance economic growth, social responsibility, and transparent governance. For the pharmaceutical industry, however, this journey carries even greater significance, as every business activity is directly linked to human health and quality of life.
The Top 50 Corporate Sustainability Awards (CSA) 2026, organized by Nhip Cau Dau Tu Magazine on June 11, 2026, honored enterprises that have achieved sustainable growth while creating meaningful value for society and the community. Imexpharm’s recognition in two categories Responsible Products & Consumer Leadership and Excellent Corporate Governance-reflects the Company’s commitment to a development strategy built upon quality, responsibility, and governance.

Ms. Tran Thi Dao, Pharmacist and People's Physician, Chief Executive Officer of Imexpharm, shared: “At Imexpharm, we believe that a sustainable business not only creates economic value but also inspires positive change and leaves meaningful legacies for society.”
ESG Built on Effective Governance
The 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30) highlighted the goal of mobilizing USD 300 billion annually by 2035 from developed countries, while targeting a broader climate finance roadmap of USD 1.3 trillion per year. Such an ambitious scale of investment cannot rely solely on public budgets. Businesses are expected to play a central role through investments in technology, energy efficiency, circular economy initiatives, and sustainable governance. This has long been the approach embraced by Imexpharm.

In 2025, Imexpharm recorded gross revenue of VND 2.914 billion, representing a 16% year-on-year increase and more than three times the growth rate of Vietnam’s domestic pharmaceutical industry. Alongside maintaining a stable dividend policy, the Company continued to reinvest in R&D, advanced technologies, and manufacturing expansion to secure future growth potential.
Emission Reduction and Green Transition Initiatives
In the pharmaceutical industry, environmental responsibility is also reflected in how companies utilize resources, manage quality, and optimize product life cycles. Imexpharm’s 12 EU-GMP-certified production lines represent not only a commitment to quality but also a rigorous management system governing energy consumption, water usage, raw materials, and waste management throughout the manufacturing process.
Sustainability at Imexpharm is further demonstrated through tangible value delivered to stakeholders. Each year, the Company allocates billions of Vietnamese dong to social welfare initiatives, environmental and community programs, educational sponsorships, and sports activities that strengthen connections within the healthcare community.
In 2025 alone, Imexpharm provided CME/CPE-certified training programs to more than 5,000 physicians and pharmacists nationwide and engaged over 6,000 healthcare professionals through scientific conferences and educational events. The launch of Vietnam’s first EU-GMP-certified “first generic” antibiotic in late 2025 further demonstrated the Company’s commitment to expanding patient access to high-quality medicines.
While environmental (E) and social (S) contributions are often reflected through measurable outcomes, governance (G) remains the decisive factor in sustaining long-term success.
In 2025, Imexpharm conducted its first Corporate Governance Assessment based on the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard. The Company also upgraded its SAP S/4HANA Cloud system, developed a centralized Data Warehouse, and accelerated digital transformation through the BASE and iHRP platforms. These initiatives have strengthened governance practices in line with international standards while enhancing operational efficiency.
From Governance Excellence to International Investor Confidence
In May 2026, Livzon Pharmaceutical Group successfully completed its public tender offer and acquired 67.87% of Imexpharm’s charter capital, officially becoming the Company’s largest shareholder and succeeding SK Group, which previously held 64.8%.
Notably, Livzon is widely recognized as a leader in sustainability within the global pharmaceutical industry. According to S&P Global’s Sustainability Yearbook 2025, only 23 pharmaceutical companies worldwide were selected for inclusion, with Livzon being one of just six representatives from Mainland China and Hong Kong.
Livzon also operates advanced manufacturing facilities that have successfully passed stringent inspections by regulatory authorities such as the U.S. FDA, the European Union, and Japan. Beyond active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and chemical drugs, Livzon established Livzon Bio in 2010 to focus on cutting-edge biological therapies, including monoclonal antibodies, Antibody-Drug Conjugates (ADCs), and Chimeric Antigen Receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapies.
These technologies represent some of the most promising areas in global biotechnology today, offering new treatment possibilities for patients with cancer, autoimmune diseases, and other serious illnesses, while reflecting Livzon’s long-standing commitment to improving human health through sustainable innovation.
The partnership with Livzon is expected to complement the strong quality standards and governance foundation that Imexpharm has built over the years, enabling the Company to further amplify its core strengths on a larger scale, with enhanced capabilities and deeper international integration.
