On March 14, 2025, Imexpharm Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company handed over trees to the Da Lat Youth Union in support of the city’s initiative to plant 3.8 million trees, as well as the broader target of 50 million trees across Lam Dong Province during the 2021 - 2025 period. This activity is part of Imexpharm's ongoing commitment to social responsibility, partnering with local communities to protect the environment and promote a healthy and sustainable life for the community.
The event took place at Lam Vien Square in Da Lat City, attended by Da Lat City Youth Union, Imexpharm's leadership team, and staff. During the event, representatives from Imexpharm presented 500 coniferous trees (ranging from 1.5m to 2m in height) to Da Lat Youth Union, contributing to the promotion of tree planting, environmental protection, and climate change response. The program also helps to spread the initiative 'For a Green Vietnam' launched by the Government of Vietnam, in celebration of Youth Month, and in anticipation of the 94th anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Da Lat City, Lam Dong Province."
Speaking at the event, a representative of the Da Lat City Youth Union shared that over the years, the city has carried out various practical initiatives to protect the environment, such as “Volunteer Saturdays” and “Green Sundays”, aimed at building a green, clean, civilized, and safe city while reducing plastic waste. Imexpharm’s contribution of green trees today is a meaningful extension of these efforts, helping to amplify the message of raising community awareness and encouraging collective action in promoting environmental protection models in Da Lat and throughout Vietnam.
Mr. Nguyen An Duy, Deputy General Director - Chief Financial Officer at Imexpharm, shared at the event: “With a mission to align business growth with social responsibility, Imexpharm has been a pioneer in environmental protection throughout its nearly 48-year journey. Today’s tree handover is a practical step toward better community health and promoting the image of a green – clean – beautiful Da Lat to both local and international visitors.”
He emphasized that in the face of climate change, impacting not only the environment but also human health, pharmaceutical companies must adapt, not only in healthcare solutions but also in their sustainable development strategies. As such, Imexpharm has not only invested in EU-GMP-certified manufacturing systems but also taken the lead in “greening” its entire production and supply chain.
At factory clusters, including three EU-GMP-certified factory clusters with 12 EU-GMP-certified production lines, Imexpharm actively implements energy-saving solutions, optimizes material usage, and strictly controls emissions, wastewater, and waste discharge, moving toward a green, sustainable manufacturing model in line with international ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) standards.
Notably, in 2025, Imexpharm is investing in rooftop solar systems at its factory clusters, marking a new step in its journey toward clean energy adoption and green production.
Following the tree handover ceremony, over 470 members of Imexpharm's leadership and staff joined a walking event around Xuan Huong Lake to raise awareness about environmental protection and promote community health. This activity was part of the 2025 Sales & Marketing Congress themed “Tiên Phong Dẫn Lối” ((Pioneering the Way Forward),” continuing Imexpharm’s long-standing commitment to community initiatives. In March 2024, the company also joined hands with Nha Trang City authorities to plant trees along the city’s Ring Road 2, contributing to a greener and more sustainable living environment.
Throughout nearly five decades of growth, alongside its environmental initiatives, Imexpharm has consistently led the way in corporate social responsibility, from offering free medicine to underprivileged communities, awarding scholarships, building bridges and houses of compassion, to sponsoring public health care programs.
Imexpharm's achievements in sustainable development and community contributions have garnered widespread recognition through prestigious awards. On December 20, 2024, its EU-GMP-certified IMP3 and IMP4 factories were featured in Binh Duong Green Book 2024. Additionally, Imexpharm was named among the op 50 Corporate Sustainability Awards (CSA 2024) organised by Nhịp Cầu Đầu Tư Magazine in August 2024 and received honors at the Saigon Times CSR 2024 'Invest in a Sustainable Future' Awards in November 2024
