On December 20, 2024, Imexpharm's Branch No. 3 (IMP3 factory cluster) and Binh Duong Hi-Tech Plant (IMP4 factory cluster), located in Binh Duong province, were proudly recognized in the Binh Duong Green Book 2024 by the People's Committee of Binh Duong province. This accolade highlights Imexpharm's persistent efforts and initiatives in implementing environmentally friendly practices throughout its production processes. Additionally, this recognition affirms Imexpharm's exemplary compliance with legal regulations, including tax obligations, social insurance, union activities, and employee rights.

The Green Book: Promoting Environmental Protection and Global Credibility
Amid rapid industrial growth, environmental protection has become a pressing challenge, particularly in industrial hubs like Binh Duong. Over the years, the province has introduced numerous environmental management policies to prevent and mitigate pollution while promoting sustainable development during the 2021–2025 period. Among the key tools employed is the quantification and public disclosure of industrial pollution data through the Green Book.

The publication of the Green Book encourages businesses to enhance environmental awareness and management without the need for enforcement measures. Moreover, it improves corporate reputation and community standing. Recognition in the Green Book also enables companies to overcome international technical barriers, expand exports, and establish credibility in global markets.

To qualify for the Green Book, businesses must achieve 50 points for adherence to environmental standards, 50 points for compliance with environmental procedures and documentation, and up to 12 bonus points.
Guided by the philosophy "1.000 years later, the lotus still blooms" Imexpharm consistently demonstrates its commitment to sustainable development in all activities, prioritizing a human-centric approach and viewing the environment as a vital element. Imexpharm strictly adheres to environmental laws and implements effective measures to combat climate change, including controlling input fuel quality, optimizing production processes to reduce pollutant and greenhouse gas emissions, and efficiently managing hazardous waste disposal. These efforts have earned Imexpharm recognition in the Green Book, underscoring its commitment to environmental and community well-being in Binh Duong.
In addition, Imexpharm integrates stringent environmental standards across all stages of research and production while complying with the highest global pharmaceutical manufacturing practices, such as EU-GMP standards. This alignment with international standards has not only made Imexpharm a trusted manufacturing partner for leading multinational pharmaceutical corporations like Sandoz, Pharmacience Canada, and Sanofi-Aventis, but it has also positioned the company as the largest EU-GMP-certified production system in Vietnam, encompassing three factory clusters and 12 production lines that meet EU-GMP standards, catering to high-quality demands from international markets.
Imexpharm's dedication to environmental and quality standards has resulted in 28 Marketing Authorization approvals in Europe for 11 products. These achievements not only reinforce the company’s leading position in Vietnam’s pharmaceutical industry but also enhance its global competitiveness.
Showcasing Environmental Commitment
Aligned with its mission to "Provide highly effective health solutions to the community" and its vision of "Top Quality, European Standards," Imexpharm has incorporated advanced technologies and production standards at its factories, exemplified by the EU-GMP certified IMP3 and IMP4 factory clusters. These facilities embrace green production and supply chains, contributing to environmental health and addressing emerging environmental challenges and diseases.

IMP3 Factory Cluster specializes in the production of oral and injectable powder antibiotics, including Beta-lactam, Cephalosporin, and Penicillin, offering over 30 products that meet stringent European standards. Meanwhile, IMP4 Factory Cluster features cutting-edge production lines, such as lyophilized injectable powders for both Steroid and Non-Steroid drugs, and Blow-Fill-Seal (BFS) technology for injectable drugs, the most advanced pharmaceutical technologies in Vietnam.
IMP4 is the largest and most modern EU-GMP factory cluster of Imexpharm, with a total investment of VND 470 billion, inaugurated in 2019. Its state-of-the-art facilities have bolstered the supply of high-quality pharmaceuticals to Vietnamese citizens and strengthened Imexpharm's competitiveness against the increasing presence of imported drugs in the Vietnamese market.

Annually, IMP3 produces approximately 89.2 million units of oral and injectable powder antibiotics, while IMP4 achieves an average capacity of 23.94 million vials per year for lyophilized injectable powders and BFS products. These remarkable accomplishments solidify Imexpharm's leadership in EU-standard pharmaceutical production.
Both IMP3 and IMP4 are equipped with wastewater treatment systems capable of handling 120m³ per day. The company manages solid and hazardous waste in compliance with regulations, maintains environmental cleanliness around the factories, and implements fire prevention and risk mitigation measures to ensure a safe and sustainable working environment.
The recognition of IMP3 and IMP4 in the Green Book exemplifies Imexpharm’s sustainable development strategy, balancing the production of high-quality pharmaceuticals with environmental and social responsibilities. These efforts enhance treatment outcomes for patients and affirm Imexpharm’s position in domestic and international markets.

By integrating environmental considerations into research and development, Imexpharm has established robust sustainability pillars in the pharmaceutical sector. Earlier, this dedication earned the company a spot in the "Top 50 Sustainable Development Enterprises" list, organized by Nhip Cau Dau Tu Magazine in August 2024.
