Imexpharm launched its sports festival with great enthusiasm on August 18, bringing together over 1,000 members of the Imexpharm family. The event, themed “Who are we? Imexpharm! Imexpharm, Healthy Body – Joyful Spirit!”, featured the participation of more than 300 athletes and nearly 700 supporters from Imexpharm's departments, factories, and branches across the country. This vibrant celebration was a highlight of the 2018 Sports and Arts Festival, showcasing teamwork, health, and community spirit.
At 5:30 AM on August 18, 2018, a heavy downpour in Dong Thap, the land of pink lotuses, seemed to "challenge" the more than 1,000 members of the Imexpharm family at the opening ceremony of the sports festival. Yet, these obstacles only served to fuel the participants' determination to come closer together and strengthen their bonds.
The rain kept falling, but the flame of Imexpharm burned brightly in everyone’s hearts. Thanks to this unwavering spirit, the rain eventually gave way after the opening ceremony, and the entire Imexpharm delegation paraded through the city in high spirits.
Have you ever seen the entire city of Cao Lanh bathed in a vibrant green? The fresh green of budding leaves, representing hopes for a future reaching out to the world. It was the green of the Imexpharm parade - a lively and friendly group, hand in hand, exuding energy and confidence as they marched along the city’s main streets.
Though the nearly 4-kilometer journey faced challenges from the weather, the parade did not falter. Instead, every member became more resolute to reach the finish line. This is the essence of Imexpharm - once a goal is set, perseverance ensures its achievement. The group was constantly inspired by the leadership and motivation of the skilled captain, CEO and People's Doctor, Pharmacist Tran Thi Dao, along with the Executive Board members.
The parade concluded at Dong Thap Provincial Stadium. Wrapping up this activity was a lively flash mob dance, a group photo reinforcing the cultural message "Reaching for the World," and a fun, creative photo contest showcasing the youthful, playful spirit of Imexpharm's members.
This year’s sports festival featured five competitive events: soccer, volleyball, tennis, badminton, and table tennis, along with traditional games. The soccer matches, played by seven teams composed of members from all departments, were especially thrilling and received the most enthusiastic cheers. All athletes shared the belief that the goal of sports is to promote health and morale rather than focus solely on winning or losing. As a result, every event left behind beautiful memories for everyone.
With impartial judgment from the referees, deserving winners were crowned. The competitions concluded at 9:30 AM on August 19, 2018, with exciting results. The champions of soccer and volleyball were the combined teams from QA, QC, R&D, Penicillin, and Technical Departments. In tennis, the top duo was Nguyen Thanh Tung (Sales Support Department) and Vo Khanh Bang (Technical Department). For table tennis, Nguyen Phu Vinh and Le Nguyen Anh Khoa from the R&D Department claimed victory, while the badminton champions were Dang Quang Binh and Nguyen Huu Ky from the General Warehouse team.
Adding a unique touch to this year’s festival was the "Imexpharm Love Songs" singing contest. After nearly two months of competition, participants went through preliminary rounds aired on Imexpharm Radio, semifinals featuring random duet pairings, and the finals where 11 outstanding contestants from nine departments nationwide competed on the evening of August 18, 2018.
The grand finale of the singing competition brought a spectacular musical feast for athletes and supporters who had gathered from all corners of the country at the company headquarters. Each contestant brought their unique flair, giving their all with the Imexpharm spirit. In the end, Pham Duy Viet An from the Marketing Department, with his powerful voice, confidence, and professional stage presence, won the championship. Runner-up honors went to To Dinh Trong from the Binh Dinh Branch.
The 2018 sports and arts festival ended, leaving behind lasting bonds and shared memories for every member of Imexpharm. The Imexpharm family feels warmer and closer after events like these because we are not just a team - we are a family, and we will always remain so.
