Representing the sponsor was Mr. Nguyễn Quốc Định, Deputy General Director of Imexpharm Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company.

The award, established during the 1998-1999 academic year, aims to inspire students across the city to follow the example of Huynh Thuc Khang. As a native of Quang Nam and a patriot, he was praised by President Ho Chi Minh as an “excellent learner with unwavering will and high integrity,” dedicating his life to the pursuit of freedom and independence for the nation.

To win the award, the students have to meet three rigorous criteria: Maintain excellent conduct and achieve outstanding academic performance throughout the academic year; Win the highest city-level awards in academic competitions; and Attain the highest annual grade point average in their district. This year, the selection committee chose to honor 29 students who demonstrated comprehensive excellence. The Huỳnh Thúc Kháng Award in Da Nang is part of Imexpharm’s nationwide study promotion initiatives.
