Native type II collagen (NCII), is also called natural collagen, which provides essential nutrients to nourish joints and regenerates joint cartilage tissue.
Hyaluronic acid is a polymer of disaccharides which are composed of D-glucuronic acid and DN-acetylglucosamine. Hyaluronic acid occurs naturally in joint fluid and articular cartilage at high concentration. It works by acting as a cushion and lubricant in the joints and other tissues.
Ascorbic acid is a water-soluble vitamin. Ascorbic acid is essential for the formation of collagen and intercellular material.
Bromelain is an enzyme found in pineapple juice and in the pineapple stem. Bromelain has been shown to have a number of beneficial properties including anti-inflammatory and analgesic actions in addition to its anti-oedematous, antithrombotic and fibrinolytic effects. Experimental evidence suggests that bromelain’s action as an anti-inflammatory is mediated via the following factors: by increasing serum fibrinolytic activity, reducing plasma fibrinogen levels and decreasing bradykinin levels and hence reducing oedema and pain; by mediating prostaglandin levels (by decreasing levels of PGE2 and thromboxane A2); and through modulation of certain immune cell surface adhesion molecules, which play a role in the pathogenesis of arthritis.
Boswellia serrata extract gum contains Boswellic acids with pentacylic triterpenic structure as the main active ingredients. The main mechanism of action of Boswellic acid is anti-inflammatory effects by suppressing of leukotriene synthesis via inhibiting 5-lipoxygenase which is responsible for inflammation.
Salix alba extract contains salicin, the main active substance which has the mechanism of action as aspirin and used to treat pain caused by rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, gout and ankylosing spondylitis.
Zingiber officinale extract was extracted from ginger. It contains 6-shogaol, gingerdiols, and proanthocyanidins which inhibit acute and chronic inflammations and reduce prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) and nitric oxide (NO) production. In traditional therapy, active substances extracted from ginger are used for pain relief in arthritis.
Turmeric extract contains curcumin as an active ingredient with pain relief and anti-inflammatory properties extracted from turmeric. Curcumin may help reduce inflammation. Some studies show that curcumin can relieve the symptoms of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, such as pain and inflammation.
Glucosamine is an amino monosaccharide found in bone and fluids around joints. It is involved in the formation of cartilage, mainly proteoglycans. Glucosamine sulfate stimulates the biosynthesis of glycosaminoglycans and hyaluronic acid, these two compounds are necessary for the formation of proteoglycan. In addition, glucosamine sulfate also helps increase the synthesis of joint fluid and prevents its destruction. Glucosamine sulfate is often used in patients with osteoarthritis, it helps relieve pain and improves function of inflamed joint.
Sodium chondroitin sulfate: a mucopolysaccharid found in cartilage, is one of the participants which contribute to the proteoglycans synthesis. Chondroitin sulfate stimulates the formation of proteoglycan and inhibits the production of cytokine causing articular cartilage degeneration. In addition, chondroitin sulfate may increase the viscosity of the joint fluid. In bone, chondroitin sulfate accelerates the mineralization process and bone repair.
MethylSulfonylMethane (MSM) is a naturally occurring organosulfur molecule found in human cerebrospinal fluid and plasma at 0-25 μmol/L concentrations. With the organosulfur content, it is used by the body to maintain normal activities of connective tissues. MSM has shown anti-inflammatory property in rheumatoid arthritis and lupus treatment. It is also used to relieve musculoskeletal pain and to inhance the immune system.

FlexoMAX is taken twice a day in the morning and afternoon. A dose of FlexoMAX consists of 2 hard capsules and 1 film-coated caplet.
FlexoMAX should be taken after meals with plenty of water.
FlexoMAX should not be used for children under 12 years of age, pregnant women, nursing mothers.
Do not use in patients with history of allergic reaction to aspirin or sulfonamides.
